About the Planetarium
The Bryan-Gooding Planetarium brings the universe to you.
The Museum of Science & History of Jacksonville is now home to the next generation of planetarium technology with the installation of the Konica Minolta Super MediaGlobe II.
The Bryan-Gooding Planetarium is part of the renovated Alexander Brest Space Theater - and the first of its kind in Florida.
IMAGINE speeding faster than light to the edge of the known universe – and beyond.
IMAGINE time-traveling to walk with dinosaurs.
IMAGINE shrinking to the size of a molecule and navigating through the human body.
IMAGINE swimming to the depths of the ocean next to whales.
Konica Minolta Super MediaGlobe II technology lets audiences experience superior resolution – four times sharper than the most advanced high definition television (HDTV) – in a 360-degree theater.
The Bryan-Gooding Planetarium takes guests beyond the stars – blockbuster films, educational documentaries, live NASA and Skype feeds can all be projected on the planetarium's dome. Cosmic concerts and laser shows will also be high-def, high-energy and high-excitement.
At the Bryan-Gooding Planetarium, innovative programming, unprecedented technology, and a renovated setting come together to surround you with the wonders of the universe.
